Your Home Deserves Window Treatments Designed for It
When you work with Dwell Shutter & Blinds, every shutter, shade, and drape is built around your windows with consideration for your architecture and style. But the process to get there is just as intentional as the final result. From the first consultation to the final installation, the Dwell team handles every detail so you can enjoy the perfect outcome for your home.
What to Expect: The Dwell Consultation Process, Step by Step
Here is exactly what you can expect from start to finish when you work with us:
Step 1: The Consultation
One of our sales professionals will visit your home, talk through exactly what you are looking for, and provide their professional recommendation.
Step 2: Measurements and Design
Every product we create is made to order, so every window gets measured precisely.
Step 3: Material and Finish Selection
Whether you want wood or composite, classic white, or a custom stain, this is where the product becomes yours, and every small detail is decided.
Step 4: Fabrication
We build your order specifically for your home. The full timeline is usually six to eight weeks from consultation to installation, depending on product and order volume.
Step 5: Installation Day
A trained installer arrives, and most rooms are finished within a few hours with minimal disruption and no need to leave home.
*We also ship nationwide for those located outside of our installation territory.
Easier than you thought it would be? We get that a lot. Even if you do not have a fully formed vision, our no-cost consultation can help you discover the story you want your home to tell.

Design Gallery: Southern Homes, Custom Shutters
Unique homes deserve custom shutters sized and styled to match their distinct architectural stories. Take a look at some of our work showcasing various home styles and how we have reinforced each home’s architectural character with custom shutters.

The Craftsman
Cedar shake siding and deep brick columns call for a more subtle shutter that doesn’t compete. Soft-toned combination shutters let the natural materials remain the star of the show.

The Colonial
Symmetry is everything here, and the shutters follow that lead. Slate-blue paneled shutters against warm cedar shingles keep every window balanced and create a well-put-together façade.

The Coastal
Rich exterior colors need a shutter that can hold its own. Deep brown board and batten shutters anchor each window without disrupting the home’s historic charm.

The Farmhouse
Crisp white siding and a prominent front porch call for a more understated shutter. Soft sage louvered shutters echo the surrounding greenery and keep the look relaxed, a callback to slower times.
Fall Is Calling
Fall is the busiest season for shutter installations, and calendars fill up fast. Homeowners who book their consultation this summer can lock in an installation window before the autumn rush hits. Waiting until October for a consult could mean waiting until winter for installation.
